Karen Richardson
Karen Richardson is an experienced counsellor accredited by The British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) the UK’s foremost register. She is also a member of The British Institute of Hypnotherapy and The British Clinical and Strategic Hypnosis Association.
Karen pursued her studies at the Metanio Institute and gained both a Diploma and a BA in Person Centred Counselling. She then went on to study Clinical Hypnotherapy at the Brief Strategic Foundation, where she was awarded a Practitioners Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis and an Advanced Practitioner’s Certificate in Clinical and Strategic Hypnosis.
She is a qualified Cruse Bereavement Care Counsellor and worked for Cruse Richmond-upon-Thames. Subsequently, she went on to study Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) at Oxford University Department of Psychiatry and Neurosciences at Warneford Hospital. Karen’s training has also covered specialist training in addiction therapy.
Her knowledge, experience and dedication to counselling and clinical hypnotherapy means that she is called upon from time to time by the media to contribute to talks and articles including the Daily Mail, The Guardian, The Trisha Goddard Show and This Morning with Philip Schofield.
Karen offers one-to-one counselling and clinical hypnosis in a safe, confidential and non judgemental environment.
Karen is an approved Medical Provider for Medicare and Pruhealth.
